Start a lesson from files

Already have the material? Upload it and Lubna reads it, then suggests a title, a topic and matching standards for your lesson.

PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF or DOCX files. You can add up to 6 files. Photos of textbook pages work well. Choose a clear, well lit photo.

  1. Open New lesson plan. Find Start from a file.
  2. Add your files by dropping them in, pasting a screenshot, choosing Choose files, or choosing Use camera to take a photo of a page.
  3. Check the list. Use the arrows to put pages in order, or the minus button to remove one.
  4. Choose Upload.
  5. Lubna reads the pages. You then see Text we read, with a Preview page menu so you can look at each page. If the text looks wrong, choose Remove source and try a clearer file.
  6. Choose Suggest lesson details.
  7. Review the suggestion: a title, a topic and Suggested standards. Choose Use suggestions to fill in the form.
  8. Edit the title, description and standards, then choose Generate lesson plan.

The suggestion fills in the form but does not generate the lesson. You always get to review first. If no text is found, Lubna says so. Try a clearer photo or another file.

  • Uploaded files are set to expire after 7 days. Your saved lesson stays.
  • The suggestion is a starting point. You choose the final standards.
  • Make sure the grade and subject at the top of the form are right before you choose Suggest lesson details. The standards come from them.
  • Student names should never be in your pages. See AI and your data.
