Teaching policy
If you administer a district or school in Lubna, you can choose the teaching frameworks that your teachers’ lessons and course plans follow. This is called your teaching policy.
You see the Admin link in the sidebar only if your account administers a district or school. If you open it without that role, you will see a note saying the area is for district and school administrators.
What a policy does
Section titled “What a policy does”A policy is a list of rules. Each rule picks a framework and says how strongly it applies. Rules apply to everyone below your organization. A required framework from a district wins over anything a school sets.
Set a rule
Section titled “Set a rule”- Select Admin in the sidebar. The page is titled Teaching policy and shows your organization.
- If you administer more than one, pick one from Organization.
- Select Add a framework.
- Choose the Framework.
- Choose How strongly it applies (see below).
- Optionally limit it by Subject, and by From grade and To grade.
- Select Save policy. You will see “Saved.”
Each rule shows a summary line with its framework, strength, subject and grades. Select Remove to delete a rule, then Save policy.
How strongly
Section titled “How strongly”- Required: every lesson uses it. Schools and teachers cannot change it.
- Default: used unless a school or teacher picks something else.
- Allowed: teachers choose among the allowed frameworks only.
- Suggested: shown as a suggestion. It does not change generated lessons.
Subject and grade limits
Section titled “Subject and grade limits”Leave Subject on “All subjects” and the grades on “Any” to apply a rule everywhere. Choose a subject or grade range to apply it to only those lessons. For example, require one framework for grades 6 to 8 ELA.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- With no rules, the page says “No teaching frameworks set. Teachers choose their own.”
- Some rules are set up by the Lubna team. The page notes how many, and your changes leave them as they are.
- To add a school or district to Lubna, see Schools and districts.
