Nickname and avatar

In Lubna, you show up with a nickname and an avatar. They are fun, and they keep your real name private.

Pick a nickname

Section titled “Pick a nickname”

You do not type a nickname. You build one from lists. That way nobody’s real name or a rude word can sneak in.

  1. Open your home page and tap Pick my name.
  2. Choose Word 1 and Word 2 from the lists.
  3. If you want, choose a Number. Or leave it as No number.
  4. Look at the preview. Tap Shuffle for a surprise.
  5. Tap Use this name.

Your class sees this name in quizzes.

Good to know

Section titled “Good to know”
  • You can change your nickname once a day. If you try again too soon, you will see “You can change your name once a day. Come back tomorrow.”
  • Your teacher can turn nicknames off for your class. Then you will not see Pick my name.
  • If your teacher resets your nickname, you get a new one and can change it again.

Make your avatar

Section titled “Make your avatar”

Your avatar is your character. It shows in the quiz lobby and on your home page.

  1. On your home page, tap Change my avatar.
  2. Use the tabs to change the Character, Color, Eyes, Mouth, Hat, Extras and Background.
  3. Tap Surprise me to try a random one.
  4. Tap Save my avatar.

Some parts are locked. You can buy them in the shop with gems.
