Prep packs

A prep pack is a one-page brief for each booked conference. Lubna drafts it from quiz results, follow-up practice and your own notes. You review it, edit it and print it.

Link the event to a class when you schedule conferences. The brief draws on that class’s evidence. Without a class there is nothing to draft from, but you can still write a brief by hand.

  1. Open your event schedule.
  2. Click Prep brief next to a booked slot. If a brief already exists, the link reads Open brief. Or click Prep all briefs on the event page to draft every booked conference at once.
  3. On the brief page, look at the evidence on the left: Quiz sessions, Standards, Follow-up practice and Notes.
  4. To add a student note, type in Add a note and click Add note. Use notes for things Lubna can’t know, like a strength you saw in class.
  5. Click Draft brief.

Draft brief needs at least one quiz result or note. If it is greyed out, add a note or run a quiz with the class.

The draft has a summary and sections: Strengths, Concerns, Talking points, Questions for the family and Next steps. Edit any text. You can move items up or down, or delete them. Click Save.

The page says “AI draft: review before the conference.” until you save with your edits. Always read it first. It is a starting point.

To try again, click Redraft brief. If you edited the brief, Lubna asks before replacing your edits.

  1. Click Print preview to see one page.
  2. Click Print or save as PDF.
  3. Choose your printer, or “Save as PDF” in the print window.

To print every brief in one go, click Print all briefs on the schedule. Each brief gets its own page.

Student names are filled in only on your device, from your roster. Before anything is sent for drafting, names in your notes are swapped for codes. The AI sees codes, never names. If your roster is not on the device you are using, the brief shows the student code instead of the name.

  • Briefs are for you. They are not sent to families.
  • Each item holds up to 300 characters and the summary up to 600.
  • Your edits are saved only when you click Save.
