Gems and the shop

Gems are little rewards for learning. You can spend them in the shop on fun things for your avatar.

How to earn gems

You earn gems when you:

Join and play a quiz.
Get answers right.
Try again after a mistake.
Finish a practice set.
Improve on a skill.
Do an exit ticket.

You can see your total on your home page next to the 💎.

A daily limit

There is a limit on how many gems you can earn in one day. When you reach it, take a break and come back tomorrow. Learning is the goal, not a gem race.

Weekly quests

Your home page shows This week’s quests. Each quest has a bar that fills up as you go. For example, finish 2 practice sets or do an exit ticket on 3 days. When a quest is done, you get bonus gems. New quests come each week.

The shop

Tap Visit the shop to open the Gem shop. You can buy avatar parts, a starry paper frame, a leaf name color and a sparkle celebration.

Find an item you like. The price is under its name.
Tap Buy and confirm.
The item is yours. It says Owned.
Tap Dress my avatar to use it.

If you do not have enough gems yet, the Buy button waits for you.

If you do not see gems

Your teacher can turn rewards off for your class. Then you will see “Rewards are off for your class.” That is okay. Your learning still counts.
